The management team

The chief executive of the Police Force is known as the Commissioner and is appointed by the Governor General; on advice of the Public Service Commission; in consultation with the Prime Minister. (sec. 89 Of the Grenada constitution)

The Commissioner is responsible for the general administration and policy direction  of the Police and reports to the Minister of National Security.

The Deputy commissioner of Police is responsible for the "day to day" running /administering of the organization. That office is also responsible for Force discipline, Community Relations and Complaints against police officers.

The Executive Committee assists the Commissioner in managing the organization. This Committee has 19 members including the Commissioner, 1 Deputy Commissioner, 2 Assistant Commissioners 4 Divisional Commanders and 12 Departmental Commanders/managers.


The Royal Grenada Police Force is organized nationally into 4 divisions and 12 departments and are administered from the Office of the Commissioner at Fort George St.George's Police Headquarters..
