  Structure

The Eastern Division comprises  four (4) Stations, they are:

1.                  Grenville Police Station            - Divisional Headquarters

2.                  St. David’s Police Station 

3.                  Hermitage Police Station

4.                  Birchgrove Police Station

  • The division’s policing area comprises the Parishes of St. Andrew’s, St. David’s and part of St. Patrick’s.  These areas are mainly agricultural although many other types businesses and tourism activities take place within the districts. River Antoine Bridge, Pointzfield Bridge and Top Hill, Hermitage bound the policing area to the North.  To the West point 1910 at Grand Etang, to the south by Westerhall Bridge and Perdmontemps and to the East the Atlantic ocean

  •  The division is staffed with eighty-four (84) persons with an Assistant Superintendent of Police at the helm.  

 

MISSIONS

  • To provide efficient service to all constituents primarily in areas of responsibility; by incorporating their efforts and assistance, with the overall aim of minimizing crime within the Eastern Division.

  • Routinely,  the Division performs approximately 200,000 hours work each year. The Division handles all aspect of policing including the investigation of  crimes.  There is a small party of detectives attached to the division to assist with the investigation of Serious Crimes.  There are 

  •   There is also a fire Unit stationed in the Division.  This unit is on standby twenty-four (24) hours and is always ready to come to the assistance of anyone in need as it relates to a fire or some similar type of emergency.
